This guide will show you step-by-step how to install wordpress using the Fantastico script installer.
If you've not already done so, lets setup an email address. If you already have done this, you can safely move to Step 2.
Go to your control panel at http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. Login and Select Add/Remove Email accounts.
Next, Click the [Add Account] Link, and enter in the email address and password you would like to add. Click the Create button.
Thats it! You've just added a new POP email account.
From your main CPanel menu (just click Home if you're not already there), scroll down to the Preinstalled Scripts section, and click the Fantastico icon.
On the next screen, look for the Blogs list and click on Wordpress.
Read the information to the right of the screen. It will tell you a bit about WordPress and provide a link to their support site.
After you've read the information, click the New Installation link.
Now we need to enter some information about where to install the software, if your site was named yourdomain.com your settings would look something like those shown at right (click the image to enlarge).
When you're happy with your settings, click Install WordPress. You will be shown some information regarding the database to be used. Click the Finish Installation Button.
Thats it! Your WordPress site is now installed and running. You can login to your administrator console through your main website using the administrator username and password you just setup.
Enjoy your new site, and happy Blogging!
